Photographs/Lin'an

Lin’an · Photographs

A place you photographed in Lin’an can be kept in this volume.

Why we take them

The pictures on these pages are mostly atmosphere, not a shutter-click. If you have been to these places, taken the photograph yourself, and would let a gazetteer use one frame, we will look. This is not a contest. We only ask whether the picture belongs to this soil.

What to send

Lin’an’s mountains, water, villages, and things. Your own photographs. No watermarks, no tour-company marks. Faces that can be recognised should stay out of frame unless you have their consent.

The Lin’an volume only takes what belongs to Lin’an: Tianmu and Qingliang, canyon and lake, village and produce. Scenes of another city wait for that volume.

How to send

Write a letter. In it: your name (or how you wish to be credited), where it was taken, roughly when. Attach the original file. We will reply. Whether we use it or not, we will say so.

The grant

By sending, you say the photograph is yours to give; you allow Jiuzhou to show it on this site without commerce — including cropping, covers, and share-cards — and to credit you, unless you ask not to be named. The copyright stays yours. You may write later and withdraw it. Pictures taken from the web, or from someone else, please do not send.
